How to set up Reserve integrated booking button for Facebook/Instagram
Take bookings directly from your Facebook and Instagram pages that are filtered into your simpleERB diary.
Through our partnership with Mozrest, you can now integrate bookings from your Facebook and Instagram pages directly into your simpleERB diary.
Important Prerequisites
- Connected Accounts: Your Facebook and Instagram accounts must be linked.
- Single CTA: You must delete any existing Call to Action (CTA) buttons on your pages before installing this integration.
- Account Details: Ensure your simpleERB restaurant settings are complete, including full address, country, timezone, payment currency, email, phone, website, and latitude/longitude.
Note on Payments: If you have card/payment rules enabled, these will be treated as a 'telephone workflow.' Customers will not see payment requirements at the time of booking, but will receive an email afterward to provide details. Please use the 'Online Message' box in your settings to alert customers to these requirements.
Setting up the Integration
- Navigate to the Facebook/Instagram Booking Integration setting within the Booking Widget section of simpleERB.
- Request activation and click 'Complete Setup'.
- Log in to your restaurant's Facebook account.
- On your Facebook page, click the three dots (...) and select 'Add Action Button' > 'Try it'.
- Select the 'Reserve' option, then choose Mozrest as your booking provider.
- Grant permission to Mozrest, then select simpleERB as your provider in the pop-up.
- Log in to your simpleERB account to link your pages and confirm the correct venue.
- Click 'Done'. The 'Reserve' button will automatically appear on your linked Instagram page as well.
Verifying and Managing
You can view the button by using the 'View as' feature on your Facebook page or checking the Bio section of your Instagram profile. Bookings made this way will be automatically recorded in your diary with the booking source listed as 'Facebook'.
