How do I add a booking?

Quickly record telephone or walk-in bookings using your preferred diary layout.

In simpleERB, you can add customer bookings via two main interfaces: the Booking View or the Grid View. Both sync instantly to your diary.

Booking View

Best for speed. The system automatically selects the best table based on your optimized settings.

Grid View

Best for control. View table availability visually and manually assign specific tables or joins.

1. Using the Booking View

  • Step A: Select the Bookings tab at the top of the page.
  • Step B: Choose your time slot and click “Add Booking”.
  • Step C: In the Individual Booking Place (IBP), enter covers and contact details. simpleERB will predict the best table for you.

Tip: As you type, the system will suggest existing customers to save you time on data entry.

2. Using the Grid View

  • Step A: Select the Grid tab from the top navigation.
  • Step B: Click the specific table and time slot box you wish to book.
  • Step C: Click the blue "Book Table" button that appears. You can also select multiple tables to create a Table Join.

Managing Walk-ins

If a customer arrives without a booking, use the "Add Walk-in" option in Grid view. This opens a simplified popup to record the arrival quickly without needing full contact details immediately.

Once a booking is added, you can click and drag it on the Grid to change tables or adjust stay times instantly.
