simpleERB - Release update 16.4
In this release, we’ve made several updates to our existing features to improve customer and booking management, making current workflows more efficient and easier to manage.
1. Manager Day Book - Quick Access to Cancellation Reports.
In the Diary/Booking View, located within the Manager's Day Book, when reviewing the cancellations, you can now quickly access the full calendar dates cancellation report using the 'Full Report' button.
This will open the Cancellation Report for the booking date in a new tab. The report includes all booking cancellations (present and past) made for the specific booking date. See here for further details on how to manage cancellations.
2. Staff Username PINS - Record PIN input on bookings notes.
When the PINS feature is enabled in the Staff settings for added security provisions, we now record in the booking notes which PIN was entered. This will help users who wish to identify which team member or username performed a specific booking edit/change or a manager override.
Every time a PIN popup is requested, the username for the PIN entered is now logged and timestamped at the same timestamp a record is created for the action saved. For example, below is a PIN request and record for a new booking being created.
3. Custom titled sittings - Updates to display on views and widget.
In the Sittings setting, we now offer the ability to set when certain sittings appear in the different operational views for your team. For example, if you run a Sunday Lunch sitting from 12:00 - 16:00, you can set this to display only at those times on the diary. If you have the sittings enabled for the online widget, this also helps customers quickly see which booking times are available within that specific sitting. You could also create a Booking Option, tailored to the sitting, to help make customers aware of set menus or events which you may have enforced.
This new update helps to avoid confusion about booking totals and any overlap in sitting times, producing an accurate tally for the team.
The custom sittings have been updated to also be excluded from the customer online booking widget, as they may be used for internal records only. You can toggle the custom sittings to be disabled here. Widget Settings > Show sitting names on the widget. When OFF, the widget will default to showing normal sitting periods to choose a time; Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
4. Updates to Highchair & Children Covers
We have reintroduced the inclusion of children covers to the online booking widget and booking form to assist with identifying and highlighting the specific number in a booking. These options can be toggled on/off within the Widget Settings.
Children and highchair covers are included within the booking cover total to avoid overcrowding and overbooking. However, they are not included in any cover setup for card/payment rules. The card and payment rules only apply to the Adult covers.
